The author, G.W Chaudhary captures beautifully through his words during those days when they were partied as one but then gradually broke apart into two separate countries over time with each chapter showing more signs pointing towards their impending doom both internally and externally until finally, all hope had been lost by Christmas Day 1971 where India launched their Operation Searchlight -effectively ending any chance at peace between Hindus/Muslims living side by side in this region once known as “Bengal” before partitioning it yet again along religious lines creating modem day Bangladesh which now exists.
