While teaching political science at graduate and post graduate level, I have been approached by the candidates of Central Superior Service Examination to guide them on Pakistan Affairs a compulsory paper of 100 marks for C.S.S examination, as there was rare material on the subject and no comprehensive book was available on the paper. The urge of the Candidates inspired me to attempt in this regard.

The first requirement of the book is to provide the candidates the basic information, which he or she will be required to prepare the paper. The analytical approach should be suitable for helping them to understand cause and consequences of the past events, continuity and change of the present policy and similarities and differences of the future course of Pakistan.
