NUST is a multi-campus university spread all over Pakistan. Its central campus is in Islamabad with other campuses at Rawalpindi, Risalpur and Karachi. NUST has retained its top position in  Engineering & Technology University (Ranked No 1) as per HEC ranking released on 23rd February, 2016. The Central Campus has been established at Sector H-12, Islamabad to cater for the fast-growing requirements of a technologically advanced campus of science and technology. Besides the Recto-rate, new high-tech postgraduate schools, centers and institutes have been established at this campus. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs have commenced from Fall 2008 and a number of new programs have commenced since Fall 2025.
